What we do

Connections With Spirit is owned by Margaret West, a lady of many talents. You can find her website here At Connections with spirit, we offer you training in many different practitioner courses and also many other metaphysical studies. The workshops are designed to not only enlighten you, but also to financially help those she considers are voiceless, with profits from the workshops. Margaret works full time as an alternative Therapist, and this she considers is her income to pay the bills. Profit from the workshops, after paying the facilitators etc, is donated. The prices for our workshops are reasonable and competitive, and we like to think that we give each one our personal touch of beauty and laughter. Cake is always on offer at lunchtimes, as we feel no one should learn without a good slice of cake to fortify them!! We use a few facilitators, who are excellent in their field, but mainly Margaret does all the teaching. So you can be assured that the quality of our courses are always top notch.We also have stalls at the workshops where you can buy beautiful jewellery and Holistic Crystal pendants, which Margaret makes herself. Each pendant is an active crystal that will help with various conditions of the mind, body and spirit.Emma King is Connections with spirit's event manager, events organiser and Personal Assistant to Margaret West. Spirit v Symbols



Symbolic messages.
People often say to me why do spirit send symbols instead of just saying ‘ hi, my names.......and I lived at.....I’ve come to say.........’ Well, sometimes they can communicate this way, but most of the time a spirit person has to communicate with you the best way they can. It is never an easy feat for them or the medium. Sometimes they do it by pulling up your own memories and using them. For instance, if I am speaking to a man in the armed forces, initially, I will get sent a picture of my son, who was in the army. This is known as a symbolic image. They will use the image of my own mother, to let me know they are a mother and so on and so forth.

Spirit people use whatever is stored in your head. So I always say watch every documentary you can, read every book you can lay your hands on. Even if you have little interest in the subject. I half watched a program on world war one. The next night while I was giving messages from the podium, images from that program began to flood my mind and I realised I had a spirit person from world war one with me.

There are so many symbols that spirit use. It is down to us to decipher them and it's not often easy to get it right. If you don’t understand a symbol ask spirit to send you another. Don’t waste time deliberating over them. Work with your guides and helpers, thats what they are there for. TALK to them. TELL them how you want to work. I now ask my guides not to bring in symbols. Show me pictures or images of a memory, but not darn symbols. It so hard muddling through them, when you have a sea of expectant faces waiting.

It is up to you to direct your guide as to how you want to work. If you are clairaudient and you can’t hear the spirit person speaking, ask your guide to move them closer. If you can’t see them, ask your guide to make them clearer. If you tell them what you want, they WILL make it happen.

    Sounds similar to dreaming. I have heard Dreams interpreted in a similar way, feelings represented by objects or events that evoke the same emotion.Sometimes you are able to control the dream and guide its story if you understand what is happening, other times you must helplessly stand back and let it flow over you. Do the spirits realise that you dont understand and what drives them to contact mortals?

    Spirit communication is a complex thing, carole. People have an inner spiritual light that spirit people can see from the ether. they gravitate to that light and once they are there, they want to chat or send a message to their family etc They have no concept of time, so it could be two in the morning that they prode you awake. You need to tell them you dont understand what they are saying if its in symbols. In the spirit world, there is no need for words. Words limit, so they use things that can speak for themselves and give more information.
